    Introduction

We thank God for your desire to be involved in the ministry of Calvary Tabernacle. There is no greater reward than to see the fruit of your talent directed toward heaven. It is a tremendous honor and responsibility to be a part of any ministry. The ministries of Calvary Tabernacle intend to edify the body of believers in Christ Jesus. In order to accomplish this, we must individually do our part in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Obviously, we truly desire a last-day revival. Therefore, we must recognize that we play a vital role in this task. We need more than talent. It is an ANOINTED talent that will make an eternal difference.

The Bible states, "where much is given, much is required" (Luke 12:48) Those desiring to be used in this area of ministry must endeavor, by the grace of God, to fulfill these Biblical principles and other guidelines stated below. Careful consideration of the following guidelines must be given in light of being an example to those you are ministering to.

1 Timothy 4:12-16 "...be thou an example of the believers..."

    3. Spiritual Guidelines

    A. Inappropriate attitudes of the spirit.

    2. Unforgiveness toward others (Matthew 18:21-35).
    3. Critical spirit and sowing discord (Proverbs 6:19, Revelation 21:8).
    4. Lying and bearing false witness (Exodus 20:16, Mark 10:19, Revelation 21:8-27).
    5. Murmuring and complaining (Jude 15:16, Philippians 2:14, Numbers 12:2).
    6. Swearing and profanity, filthy communication (Colossians 3:8, Ephesians 4:29, Matthew 5:34, James 5:12).
    7. Inappropriate use of social media (Philippians 2:14, Romans 14:16-19).

    B. Inappropriate works of the flesh (Romans 12:1-2 " reasonable service.").
    1. Tobacco in any form (1 Corinthians 6:12 & 10:23).
    2. Alcoholic beverages (Genesis 9:20-25, Isaiah 5:11, Proverbs 31:4-5, Leviticus 10:9).
    3. Unwholesome entertainment - abstain from ungodly media (Philippians 4:8).

    C. Lifestyle Disciplines: modesty, distinction, appearance.
    1. Modest sleeve length. No cap sleeves. (1 Timothy 2:8-10).
    i. Ladies: Skirts should be below the knee with no slits above the knee guarding against public display of the body (Philippians 4:5, 1 Timothy 2:8-10).

    2. Distinction of the sexes (Deuteronomy 22:5, Ephesians 5:23-25).
    i. Women should not wear that which pertaineth to a man.
ii. Men should not put on a woman's garment.

    3. Natural Appearance
Please keep your face and nails natural in appearance. Because we aspire to focus on the Spiritual man and be beautified by our meekness. (Psalms 149:9), we refrain from wearing colored makeup/cosmetics, which is consistently viewed negatively in scripture. (II Kings 9:30, Jeremiah 4:30, Ezekiel 23:40)

    4. Refrain from getting any new tattoos after your repentance and agreement to be a leader.
    i. Leviticus 19:28, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 2 Corinthians 6:16.

    5. No ornaments/jewelry except for wedding rings.
    i. 1 Peter 3:3-4, 1 Timothy 2:8-10, Ezekiel 23:40 (except rings of great personal significance, like wedding rings).
ii. Ornaments and jewelry have been used from ancient times as symbols and tokens of idolatry and paganism (Genesis 35:2-4, Exodus 33:5-7, Judges 34-26, Revelation 17:4) Revelation 19:7-8 gives a picture of the Bride of Christ in all her glory. There is no trace of ornaments, jewelry, or painting of the face. The church (Bride) is adorned with white linen and righteousness.

    6. Spiritual guidelines of hair for men and women (1 Corinthians 11:2-16, Ezekiel 16:7).
    i. Men are commanded to have short hair.
ii. Women are commanded to have long, uncut hair.
iii. Hair is not just a matter of style but has much deeper implications and meanings. Hair is a symbol of glory and submission. Long hair for a woman accompanies a blessing of God (Ezekiel 16:7).

*Social acceptance does not determine the standard of the church of God. We must seek to conform to the image of Jesus Christ. We must strive to draw closer to God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. The position of the church is to seek balance in the world we live in, according to God's Holy Word. It is better to be safe than sorry in this pursuit of holiness and a Godly Christian lifestyle.
